Britt Jewett seeks inspiration from a variety of historic and contemporary sources in the arts and popular culture that serve to aid and inform his practice of architecture. He contributes to cultural stewardship, innovative thinkers and the extended creative community as a board member of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse Legacy Foundation, set design and production sponsor of the TEDx American Riviera Conference, Opera Santa Barbara, opening night sponsor and production partner to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and is a member of the architectural faculty of Orange Coast College.
Studio 7 in Santa Barbara and Britt Jewett, Architect, was established to provide an active collaborative environment to meet project specific challenges. A technical and artistic compliment to each project is assembled from established partnerships. This open structure provides the opportunity to engage with specialized resources and work in areas not available within a traditional office structure. Architectural solutions are enriched through experiences in allied design; the process develops a practiced access to the intuitive character of design and broad understanding of methods and materials.
